Staff @ Lochgoilhead
The Lochgoilhead Centre has four types of staff all with a significant part to play in the operation of the Centre.
The Centre has a full time staff providing the core cover all the year round. During the year we take on seasonal staff to augment the activities and catering departments.
This includes freelance instructors who are employed for specific courses or programme requirements. We have a trainee instructor scheme and part of their duties is instructing and assisting with activities as they build up their qualifications. The final part of the staff team is the volunteers who are members of the Scout Association. The volunteers are members of the Lochgoilhead Support Group which is a fully accredited Scout Fellowship.
All staff come under the direction of the Centre Manager or his deputy. The Support Group has a committee and its chairman is a link to the Centre Manager.
The following are some of the current core appointments:
Centre Manager: Mike Masino
Activity Manager: Ali Aitken
(Centre Deputy)
Lead Instructor (Water): Ross Cadie
Lead Instructor (Land): Mark Hill
Training: Jacqueline Jamieson
Catering Manager: Mike Gough
Administration: Lorna Boyd & Anne Masino
Housekeeping: May Montgomery & Brenda Cowan
Centre Maintenance: Alex O'Malley
Flotilla Maintenance: Iain McNeil
Support Group Chairman: Janice McGregor
Prior to commencing employment or assisting as a volunteer all staff are required to have a Disclosure Scotland check completed.
Staff vacancies, both full time and seasonal and information on our trainee instructor scheme is available on our jobs page at the Information Desk.
More information on the Support Group is available from the Centre.
